Hi I had try fixmbr when I boot from win2000 cd. It not works. Here is all the information
---grub.conf--- # grub.conf generated by anaconda # # Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file # NOTICE: You do not have a /boot partition. This means that # all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /, eg. # root (hd0,1) # kernel /boot/vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/hda2 # initrd /boot/initrd-version.img #boot=/dev/hda2 default=1 timeout=10 splashimage=(hd0,1)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz title Red Hat Linux 8.0 (2.4.18-14) root (hd0,1) kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.18-14 ro root=LABEL=/ initrd /boot/initrd-2.4.18-14.img title Windows 2000 rootnoverify (hd0,0) chainloader +1 --- fdisk -l --- Disk /dev/hda: 255 heads, 63 sectors, 7476 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/hda1 * 1 1306 10490413+ c Win95 FAT32 (LBA) /dev/hda2 1307 2612 10490445 83 Linux /dev/hda3 2613 7476 39070080 f Win95 Ext'd (LBA) /dev/hda5 2613 7476 39070048+ c Win95 FAT32 (LBA) --- After I try fixmbr in win recovery consol. When I boot win2000 , it tries to scandisk my 2nd primary partition and says it's a fat file system do I want to scan it?. But, suddenly shows it's NOT a fat32 file system and answers no directly for me, then skip scandisk. In win, it's normal that can't see my linux partition. It's weird. _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
