In more to less order of relevance: - UFS2. It's needed for FreeBSD 5.x but UFS2 is being adopted in NetBSD and probably OpenBSD, so it affects all them. [1] - Fix to access FreeBSD's interfaces from grub-shell (userspace grub that accesses /dev/ devices). [2] - boot FreeBSD's kernel directly (instead of using /boot/loader) [1] see http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-grub/2003-07/msg00111.html and http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-grub/2003-09/msg00136.html [2] see http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-grub/2003-06/msg00012.html For all of these, it's nice to have them fixed for GRUB, but maybe it makes more sense to actualy fix GRUB2 (aka PUPA). -- Robert Millan "[..] but the delight and pride of Aule is in the deed of making, and in the thing made, and neither in possession nor in his own mastery; wherefore he gives and hoards not, and is free from care, passing ever on to some new work." -- J.R.R.T, Ainulindale (Silmarillion) _______________________________________________ Bug-grub mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-grub
