It would, but that requires that they migrate to GRUB as their bootloader. And
I don't think they're willing to maintain such changes in order to replace
their bootloader with GNU's.

GRUB is already in the FreeBSD ports tree. I think if we can get it into shape
for FreeBSD in its current state then GRUB could become popular in the FreeBSD
community and be a candidate for their default bootloader.
