Details:
After recently upgrading to a 2560x1440 display, I edited /etc/grub/default to
use a 2560x1440 background pic. Upon regenerating /boot/grub/grub.cfg and
rebooting, I noticed that the boot menu has been compressed into a much
smaller rectangle in the far left of the display. I do not see any option to
adjust this so I am assuming it is a bug. The background image itself is
displayed correctly in what I believe to be 2560x1440 as requested.
I added a low quality (phone, sorry) pic that shows you what I see when grub
loads as well as a few relevant config files.
* /etc/default/grub
* /boot/grub/grub.cfg (this is auto-generated)
This system runs Arch Linux and is up-to-date (distro package is [core]/grub
2.00.5043-2). The monitor is connected via the display port, not the DVI or
HDMI port which may or may not be relevant.
