Summary: GRUB2 compressed boot menu with 2560x1440 background
pic => Terminal size is limited to 255x255.

Follow-up Comment #1:
2560/8=320. Currently GRUB is limited to width of 256 and it's indeed a
problem. Problem that it's quite deeply entrenched in terminal subsystem.
