Follow-up Comment #3, bug #42026 (project grub):
Can you please provide a commit id? As I stated earlier the only difference
between the grub2 grub-core/term/serial.c in ubuntu trusty and mainline is
9afe2053c9b which doesn't look like it fixes this issue.
again I'm running 2.2~beta2-8.
