Follow-up Comment #6, bug #44448 (project grub):
Well, here it beats me. I'm not (yet) a C programmer, so while I can figure
out how to set breakpoints in gdb, I don't know how to add "top level printf"
in a C program.
And without that gdb only outputs multiple "no debugging symbols found"
statement, and finally says "Program exited normally"...
What I did:
gdb grub-fstest
(gdb) b grub_zfs_open
(gdb) run /dev/ada1 ls /ROOT/etc./zfs.ko
I can only add so far, that this problem doesn't exist in
grub-2.02-beta2.tar.gz that's available for download at
git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/grub.git .So it was introduced later on.
