Five years ago, I did a little work on standards.texi. At the time, I asked about removing K&R-specific material, such as referring to "0" instead of "NULL", and perror instead of strerror.
At the time, Karl Berry suggested I wait another 5 years. So I have. I contacted Karl, but he pointed out he's now stepped down from GNU organizational stuff, and directed me here. So, would such changes to standards.texi be acceptable in principle? If so, I'd be happy to have a look and see if I can find anything else that needs fixing, and prepare an up-to-date patch. -- http://rrt.sc3d.org
