Additionnally as everything within GNU uses texinfo, it wouldn’t be really difficult to make @person @per @pers macros that the user / distro could configure at compile so that to agree with chosen tastes or guidelines or widest usage across the distribution manuals. It could be by default “she” or “per”, and be configurable otherwise.
