I have some feedback about the version of the standards currently at: https://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/standards.html Under 4.8 Standards for Command Line Interfaces: > The standard output for –version. > The standard output for –help. Perhaps change "–" (–) to "--". > Next should follow a line stating the license, > preferably using one of abbreviations below, > and a brief statement that the program is free software, > and that users are free to copy and change it. Perhaps change "one of abbreviations" to "one of the abbreviations". Under 4.10 Table of Long Options: > Used by recode to chose files or pipes for sequencing passes.
