Just adding that the getopt files contained in glibc and gnulib are mostly the same, IIRC. And since Gnulib intends to provide a getopt that is compatible with glibc these changes will also need to be added there. Bruno, this work since Gnulib requires copyright assignment, unlike glibc which accepts DCO without assignment. Do contributors to shared files need an assignment with Gnulib? Just figured I should mention it. We can worry about that more once the patch has been reviewed and accepted. Collin
