What is the problem?

It may be that my previous mail is wrong....

So is the problem that the extended TAR headers use a length field for the
whole entry and the first occurrence of the character '=' is an indication for
the start of the value?

Given that these xattrs are just name=value tags, shouldn't '=' be foibidden
in xattrs?

- Are there really such tags?

- The original implementaion was developed together with SuSE, so why was
there no such problem for SuSE?
