agreed. I just think that extracting it from the texinfo manual would be

Well, they were just freed from having to maintain to whole manpage
by hand, and they are not willing to go back and maintain half of it by
hand.
But it doesn't meant that a way to have even better manpage without the
need to maintain (parts of) it by hand wouldn't be welcome.
