But then the 'xboard -variant capablanca', machines playing against
each other, gives an error:
{False draw claim: 'Stalemate'} 0-1 [1]W+0.00 a8a8
Error happens also when playing white against machine, for example:
Illegal move "f4" (rejected by first chess program)
This happens also in "Edit Game" mode.
Was this false draw claim on the first move?
It sounds like fairymax is not working properly, despite the fact that it
compiled without errors. Apparently it finds no moves, and thus declares
stalemate if it is its own move, and refuses every input move from an
opponent.
As this is not an XBoard, but a Fairy-Max problem, I guess it would be
best to continue the discussion outside this mailing list. Could you
try 'xboard -variant capablanca -debug' and then e-mail me the
xboard.debug file that will be made? Perhaps that will tell me some
more.
