Thanks for the info on what the request meant originally!
I haven't been working on xboard for years, but I happened to visit the
Savannah pages today and drifted into cleaning up some of the open bugs.
I don't see much need for this feature request. It's not even quite the way I
would have implemented something to serve your original need. So I'm going to
close it. For people who just want to automatically save their games, -sgf
does something close, though it doesn't save the game until it's over.
