Neo1973 power button is too deep in case for me. I have big fingers and to start
gta-01 I have to press button for few seconds. Recently I switched to starting
phone using stylus because with USB cable attached it is too hard to press
power.

I agree and I have modified this to cover the AUX button as well, I have a hard
time pressing these buttons in a controlled manner. The tactical feedback is
very low. Perhaps they should use microswitches (with that cool click clack
sound...)

Summary: Quicklauncher to reduce app startup time
           Product: OpenMoko

          Platform: Macintosh
        OS/Version: MacOS X
            Status: NEW

        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Maemo, Opie and OLPC have a 'daemon' that preloads gtk+, pango, fontconfig,
cairo, etc into memory so new apps don't have to initialize all that. It make
application startup faster at the cost of a slightly longer boot time.

While the power button works fine for me I also have problems with the AUX
button.
It is quite hard to press it all the way and it is not always pressed when you
have it pushed in.
What I mean is there is that tactile feedback when you press the button (klick),
but you have to press it slightly harder than that to actually cause a button
press event.

Quoting Nils Färber from the mailing list today:

Hi!
I just recognised a little issue with battery charging...

Yesterday I put the NEO on the charger and let it boot. It booted up
fine and started charging the battery.

Today when I returned to my desk the NEO was constantly rebooting, i.e.
the splash showed up for a second, then went dark again, stayed dark for
about three to four seconds and started over again.

One possible way to explain this could be that after charging was
finished last night the charger was switched off and the device put back
into battery mode not using the AC adapter at all anymore. Subsequently
the battery drained completely until this morning which causes the
(know) reboot cycle.
