Comment(by hedora):

 It's under the power button menu on 2007.2. It makes the linux kernel go
 into suspend mode instead of just turning off the screen. I don't know
 where the power management settings live in the other images.

 It's a known issue in the current kernel. OpenMoko is working on it:

 Do I read #1533 correctly, the bug was in X? Is there hope for a 2007.2
 image that would have the fixed X too?

 After X crashed (so it seems : device woke up but console only was on
 screen, see picture at :
 http://docs.openmoko.org/trac/attachment/ticket/1732/p1040130.jpg), I
 could see the following message :

 exquisite-write for communication

 Dunno what happened... so maybe harmless... or not

 I noticed same error repeated on console, after X crashed (typed manually
 from picture of the screen, see attachments):

 *** ECORE ERROR: Ecore Magic Check Failed!!!
 *** IN FUNCTION: ecore_event_handler_del()
    Input handle pointer is NULL!
 *** NAUGHTY PROGRAMMER!!!
 *** SPANK SPANK SPANK!!!
 *** Now go fix your code. Tut tut tut!

 Hope this helps.
