Any update on this? I just reinstalled Debian from scratch, and I again
see significant jitter with the touchscreen. The "skip" and "lowpass"
filters are a nice combo. I also don't see them in the Om2008.12 update.

As andy said this should be fixed now. The skip filter is no longer
needed. In fact, with the latest kernel you can get away with no filtering
using just the input and the calibration module like this:
