No worries.  If I can't explain it in detail, I don't really understand it.

Yes, certainly the patch to mod_perl is far lower risk.  It'd still be nice to
see at least a check in httpd2 asserting that no entries in the array were
allocated from a pool that's going to go away.  Better to log an error and exit
than to rely on freed memory still being mapped, and I'm sure someone somewhere
will end up running the current mod_perl version against future httpd2
versions.  Just my 2c though.

Thanks for your prompt analysis and patch suggestion.  Hopefully someone on the
mod_perl list will pick it up and run with it.  I don't know what the process
is from here.
