I setup Kppp. It dialed and seemed to connect then the connection fails and I get the error: pppd died unexpectedly.
It's a flaw in the kppp config files. Specifically: /etc/ppp/peers/kppp-options noauth is commented out- #noauth Not something a new user would be able to troubleshoot and a serious flaw. You have to edit the file and uncomment noauth. ppp connection is then successful and stays connected. This *must* be corrected. A new user would get this error and promptly toss the Ulteo CD in the trash bin. -- Knowledge is knowing a street is one way.
