Two new firewalls (purchased hardware in the last two weeks)
consisting of the following hardware:

Intel Atom D510MO (mini-itx dual cpu, etc.)
Soekris lan1641 (4 port 10/100 nic)
External USB cd/DVD drive for booting install CD.

The Soekris board has 4 chips labeled:

VM952AEE3
DP83816AVNG

and one big chip labeled:

PCIbus
[TI logo]
PCI2250PCM
7D 86C456W

I hope Soekris hasn't changed things recently.

Tried:
OpenBSD 4.7 amd64 snap April 28, 2010 ISO from ftp site
OpenBSD 4.7 i386 snap April 28, 2010 ISO from ftp site
OpenBSD 4.6 amd64 release ISO from ftp site

Also tried optimized BIOS settings and

1. The exact sequence of steps from startup necessary to reproduce the
problem and the problem itself:

boots ok, goes into install, hit I for install, enter for default
keyboard, enter a hostname hit enter and it fails with repeating:

sis2: reset never completed

tries on two seperate (but identical hgardware wise) machines).

Occasionally fails later in the boot process when choosing install
media (hit enter for cd0 and booom), same thing, sis2: reset never
completed.

I made sure it's not a hardware issue by installing Red Hat fedora
(beta) 13 on it, works fine, the built in gigabit Ethernet shows up
and works and all 4 Soekris ports show up and work fine.

If it helps I can drop one of the machines with a 6 pack of beer off
with Bob/Jason or some other local Edmonton OpenBSD person so they can
fiddle around with it (assuming this is a new bug with the Intel Atom
and not the Soekris board) for a week or so.
