So here is the mentioned bootup/dmesg output with Stefans debug patch, where the <snip> in this output is, is just me typing in the command to shutdown as it is quite hard to work with the system with the number of messages being printed. After the snip is the bit of output before a shutdown with a different timeout message, wasn't sure if it was related but figure it'd be better to include it.
