We are seeing issues when you change the affinity of an executing thread and the new affinity does not include the processor it is executing on. Similarly, we sometimes want to migrate a thread to another processor to get a higher priority set of threads on the set of cores. We had started to get the issue characterized and I was going to email this morning when I saw this problem. What do you mean by generation count?
