Gedare Bloom commented on a discussion: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/640#note_128154 Any modification that requires even a single character change in the user side needs deliberation and care. Regardless of what the future is, we have to be stewards of the past. A common complaint with RTEMS users is that we break things routinely without good guidance or communication. I like Chris's point, but that really only applies to new imports to contrib, because we ought to preserve the behavior that already exists for the current code. At least, that's what was communicated during the MR that made this change. It seems the original contrib MR wasn't properly tested or understood before merging it. -- View it on GitLab: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/640#note_128154 You're receiving this email because of your account on gitlab.rtems.org.
