Thanks for the clarification.\
Previously there was a 
[discussion](https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/1084#note_143849)
 about whether this header is considered RTEMS‑specific, and it was suggested 
that the guard may not be necessary in the current structure.\
However, considering the long‑term goal of moving this header to newlib, it 
makes sense to keep RTEMS‑specific extensions properly guarded.\
I will update this to use an appropriate RTEMS guard.\
@gedare does this approach sound good to you?
