Like I explained in

there is a big difference between a cryptographic signature and a 
`Signed-off-by`.

A cryptographic signature allows you to verify who someone is.

A `Signed-off-by` is a legal statement that the person writing the commit 
accepts the projects rules.

I think a cryptographic signature is a great idea from a security point of 
view. So it would be good to have one. But it does not solve the issue in
