## Summary

Issue #5742: Six defects of the BSP and the MIPS port

Issue #5752: The exception vector publishes the frame in a global

Issue #5754: The frame indices and the exception resume

Issue #5764: The floating point unit has a context of its own

Issue #5765: The exception return ignores a changed program counter

Issue #5766: The boot command line pointer holds a loop counter

Issue #5767: The polled character input blocks

Issue #5768: The interrupt return drops the status register

Issue #5769: The exception frame holds $f31 as fcr31

The branch carries the MIPS work of ten issues. It repairs the Malta
BSP so that it runs the test suite, gives the port its own exception
handler registration, brings the floating point context in line with
the arm, powerpc and riscv ports, and adds the exception resume.

The validation tests of the context switch, the interrupt processing
and the exception resume come from specification items. Only the
generated sources reach this repository.

The tenth issue is #2279, which this section does not list, because
the tracker already carried it. The libdl tests of the `hurricane`,
`rbtx4925` and `rbtx4938` BSPs build again.

## AI Details
<!-- Make sure you have read our statement at
https://www.rtems.org/generative-ai/ -->

### Prompt used

None as a single prompt. The work was done in an interactive Claude Code
session on the RTEMS tree. The task was to run the test suites of the
simulator BSPs, diagnose every failure and fix the cause. Each change was
directed and reviewed.

### AI model used

Claude Opus 5 (claude-opus-5), through Claude Code.

### How AI was used for the contribution

- [ ] Formatting
- [ ] Test creation.
- [x] Code comments.
- [ ] The entire contribution was generated using AI
- [ ] AI code completion such as Copilot in VSCode.

The diagnosis and the implementation were produced in that session under my
direction, and the commit messages were drafted there.

### Access

I have not used a product which claims copyright in its output, and I have
legitimate access to the one I used.
