Project:Branches: sebhub/rtems:up/msgq-receive-priority to rtems/rtos/rtems:main Author: Sebastian Huber ## Summary Issue #5789: rtems_message_queue_receive(RTEMS_NO_WAIT) in ISR corrupts unrelated task Event wait A receive which found a pending message stored the message priority in the wait information of the executing thread. In an interrupt, this is the interrupted thread. If that thread was about to block for an event, the store replaced its event condition. The event wait then ended only with a timeout. Return the priority through a parameter of `_CORE_message_queue_Seize()`. A polling receive then writes no wait information of a thread. `spintrcritical10` receives a message in the intend to block window of an event receive. `psxmsgq03` checks the priority which `mq_receive()` returns for a pending message and after a wait. Both tests pass on the uniprocessor and the SMP build. **BSP** `sparc/leon3` ยท **Simulator** SIS ## AI Details <!-- Make sure you have read our statement at https://www.rtems.org/generative-ai/ --> ### Prompt used None as a single prompt. The work was done in an interactive Claude Code session on the RTEMS tree. The task was to review issue #5789, reproduce it and fix the cause. Each change was directed and reviewed. ### AI model used Claude Opus 5.5 (claude-opus-5-5), through Claude Code. ### How AI was used for the contribution - ( ) Formatting - (x) Test creation. - (x) Code comments. - ( ) The entire contribution was generated using AI - ( ) AI code completion such as Copilot in VSCode. The diagnosis, the implementation and the tests were produced in that session under my direction, and the commit message was drafted there. ### Access I have not used a product which claims copyright in its output, and I have legitimate access to the one I used. -- View it on GitLab: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/1519 You're receiving this email because of your account on gitlab.rtems.org.
