But IcedTea is Linux only, and as I understand it has just stubbed out (not implemented) the various binary plugs. Is that correct?

Hi there,Here's a Really Dumb Question(TM): Is it possible (and then, is it practical) to create a build that doesn't use any of the binary plugs stuff?Sure, you can always try IcedTea: http://icedtea.classpath.org/ This is basically OpenJDK without these binary plugs, which are replaced by other implementations. /Roman
