My tendency is to go this route too. Or do the extra credit and just build a merged 32+64 image by default. One of the reasons 32 and 64 builds were separate for Solaris was the fact that we had to build x86 on Solaris 8 but x64 on Solaris 10, way back in jdk5 and jdk6. I know it adds to the Solaris build time, but my tendency now is to declare that all Solaris builds contain both 32 and 64 binaries, and pay the price in build time. Someday, we can abandon the 32bit version completely, on all the platforms, I can dream. ;^) -kto > > -Alan.
