Building OpenJDK for ppc64

Hi, I am wondering if anyone here has ever attempted an openjdk7 build for the 
ppc64 arch, or for ppc. I have compiled some things from source before, I am 
just looking for advice! This is gonna be on a PowerMac G5 running OS X 10.5.8.
