Hi Christian, you can have a look at our OpenJDK PowerPC Port for Linux and AIX<http://openjdk.java.net/projects/ppc-aix-port>(it builds and runs on Linux/PPC64 <http://cr.openjdk.java.net/~simonis/ppc-aix-port/> ).
Porting it to 32-bit PPC would be possible although I expect it to be quite an effort (i.e. assembler hacking) and we currently don't have any plans to do it (our focus will be Java 8 and the integration into the main branch).
