Very nice pictures! A little large to see comfortably in my email program.

Looking at the two photos, I would be willing to bet they can 
interbreed. This means they are really the same species, and have been 
misclassified. The differences are really no greater than what color a 
human being has, or what color eyes, or height, and certainly a lot less 
than the differences between breeds of dogs. So don't be surprised if 
they can interbreed. Someone ought to do DNA tests to determine if they 
are the same species.
