We do have plenty of Smilax - our resident Yamflies breed on it ; But haven't 
seen the mandatory red ants on it which I am told are required by the Red Spot 
larvae to progress in life ! We have plenty of those on cashew ( which is 
flowering profusely this year ) and the cinnamon.

Terminalia catappa and Smilax zeylanica are the host plants.

Got to be a first for Goa ! A male Red Spot at our conservatory spotted and 
photographed by Tanmaye Heblekar today . Photo more of a record shot than 
anything else.

Anybody can share information on the host plants ?
