Subject: [ButterflyIndia] New species pages and the page history on BOI

Hi all,

We have created a new page on Butterflies of India that lists all the species
pages in reverse chronological order, with dates of creation. This way you can
see at a glance what species pages have been created, and visit the latest
species pages. The page URL is:

http://ifoundbutterflies.net/species-pages/history-of-species-pages-on-butterflies-of-india-website

The latest four names have been hyperlinked to the species pages, I will add
links to the rest soon. FYI, the latest two species pages are:

http://ifoundbutterflies.net/5-hesperioidea/sovia-hyrtacus

http://ifoundbutterflies.net/284-aeromachus/aeromachus-dubius

We have also created a new module in the left bar called “No. of species pages:
nn”, below the “News and Updates” box. It shows the updated number of species
pages (currently at 156), and is linked to the above page.

BTW, we had slightly over 13,000 visits to the website from Jan. 2010 to 24
Jan.
2011. In the past three weeks, since Ullasa and I whipped the website in shape,
the number of visits has shot up to over 22,000. I am sure the number of visits
will grow more sharply as more and more species pages and photographs get
added.
>From what I have seen so far, it appears that a lot of you have been visiting
the website, and that it has been useful to you. Let us know if this is true
because it is good to receive feedback once in a while. This will also be
especially encouraging to our contributors, who contribute their images without
expecting any tangible returns, and to our three website teams (Butterfly
Biology, Media Management, and Web Designing), who work tirelessly to identify
and format images, create species pages, improve content and functionality of
the website, and so on.

With best wishes,

Krushnamegh.
