Kishen, since you mentioned a different English name for this species in parenthesis with my name attached to it, here's an important clarification: I had provided only scientific names and subspecies-level information to the recent Ghorpade-Kunte paper on Palni Hills butterflies, from which you took this name. English names used in this paper were completely invented by Dr. Kumar Ghorpade. The English names that I prefer were given in Evans' 1932 book, and those are used pretty widely. I have changed names only in cases of offensive names (e.g., Dusky Partwing instead of Coon) or when subspecies have been elevated to species level (e.g., Pelopidas sinensis and P. subochracea), in addition to giving English names to all Indian subspecies. These will be given in my upcoming Catalogue and are also used on the Butterflies of India website.
