Butterfly Spotter is a cloud based crowd-sourcing application inspired from iBird to tracking butterfly activities in India. We are still in the early stages and are eagerly awaiting your feedback to improvise our application. Our immediate plans are to add a search bar to customize searches based on the butterfly name, season, spotter, identifier, etc in the butterfly map. And to make the application available in all smart phones. There are more than a million photos of butterflies taken across the entire length and breadth of India, scattered in our Facebook, Flickr, Picasa and YouTube accounts. Butterfly Spotter is planning to connect these dots in the hope of finding a migrating pattern - like Monarch Migration or something we haven't even thought about.
