Blaise, the short answer is NO. Depending upon how you classify Vitex, few
Pieridae utilize anything in the Lamiaceae or Verbenaceae. A novel host is
always possible, but in such cases as yours, it's much more likely that a
Capparis (or related plant) was overlooked or stripped of recognizable leaves.

Best wishes,

Keith

Subject: [ButterflyIndia] New Larval food plant of Common Wanderer - Vitex
negundo (NIRGUNDI) ??? Blaise

Hi All,

Treking at Asawa Fort, found 3nos pupa of Common Wanderer on a Vitex negundo
branch, which was five feet of the ground.... There was no Capparis around....

Question - Is Vitex negundo a known larval food plant of Common Wanderer... or
is this a new record... ??? :-)

Attached pls find pics.....
