Perhaps we should be more tolerate of human behavior. While I understand and
appreciate your point in an internet purist sort of way, that is not
unfortunately how normal people behave. We barely notice the subject line as it
is mainly used by our robots to preserve a thread as it runs its course. If we
did as internet etiquette would have us, we would end up with a pile of
seemingly disjointed snippets as a conversation evolves. Humans are not
computers, and our conversations generally span multiple topics; separate but
contextually related. If we change the subject line, much of that context is
missed.

In other words my friend, relax. I understand that you're an engineer, but the
vast majority of the populace isn't. As a software engineer, I will say that it
is computers that must conform to human behavior because the opposite rarely
happens,

1. Most members will not be posting to the list server because why send a
message when you are looking at the people for whom the message would otherwise
be intended.

2. As W5RH would say... Ham radio is a journey not a destination.

3. Be as inclusive as possible. When planning. Often the new ham or members are
often eager and more than willing to participate and given the help of an Elmer
like Mike, we are ALL better off for it. Those who were there will know of what
I speak.

4. We are here for each other.
