Howard, IT pros know 10 is better than 7...boot time is faster, etc..but
the issue he is having isn't a 10 issue..it would have happened in 7 had it
stayed the OS MS was currently supporting..it's a driver issue, not the OS..
I like 10 as well as 7 and even 8.1...Vista, Me and 8 were total screwups
by MS..I've upgraded almost all of my PCs to 10 if they could be..my Tough
books probably won't but I haven't tried yet
What's next since 10 is the last Windows is anyone's guess..I'm looking at
Linux myself but office software doesn't work with it...yet

The mistake you made, was to upgrade to Windows 10, Windows 7 WORKS Just
fine, *WHY FIX something that AIN'T broke*.
Last spring I UPGRADED Windows 7, by replacing the HD, doubling the
memory, BUT NOT GOING TO WINDOWS 10.
NO WAY JOSE' am I going to Windows 10...!!!
Whenever this DELL VOSTRO 270 emits smoke, it's going in the trash can &
GOOD BY MICROSOFT, there are other OS Systems much better than WINDOWS 10 !

Well, I did it again! I let Windows do an update BEFORE the contest (I
knew it was a bad idea) and now it once again does not recognize my video
card and has reduced the resolution and will not span across two monitors.
Last time this happened, K5LJ suggested I roll back the video driver and
that worked, but this time the option to do that is grayed out. Surely,
someone know how to fix this for me.
The computer is an older HP running WIN 10 (upgraded for WIN 7) with an
AMD chipset and an ATI Radeon HD 4200 video card. I have a new computer
purchased, but it’s still in the box…. There must be a way! If you have the
answer, call, email or text me!
BTW, the ARRL 10 Meter contest conditions suck, but there are occasional
contacts to be made.
