The below sites offer free analysis of suspicious files and web links:
(spaces inserted to defang the links)

https :// sitecheck.sucuri.net/
They're not the only ones around, but the first two are my primary resources.
A file or link might not be malicious, but the behavior of the site can at
least help you judge whether or not to click on it.
