Seriously, what kinds of suggestions do you all have about modem sorting
and testing?  There's the obvious, PCI vs ISA, major manufacturers'
brands, for sorting.  Is that sufficient?  If so, is it something some
of the volunteers can do that aren't as fluent in linux?  What about
testing methods?

And, can you see if we can get a decent price (or better yet a
donation?) on anti-static bags?  As Jerry Hubbard pointed out, storing
electronics parts like modems in plastic boxes is asking for static
discharge mischief; and I can't like seeing them stacked up any which
way in any case.

So far, of all the modems we've worked with under Debian, the 3Com have
been the most hassle-free.  We should keep an eye out for more of those.
