As POC I have started looking at:

Makefiles link directly to mediaLib
I've modified the Makefiles in question and have built a gate
successfully, and everything looks good so far. (We still need to test.)
To get the complete picture, I'll ask the question: why was the mediaLib
linked-in in the first place? I traced the Makefiles back to the Dwarf
Caiman installer, putback to install-nv-gate if that sheds any light...
