There is an initial interactive curses style mockup at 
http://ucsd.sfbay/projects/solaris/subprojects/install/. Follow the link 
under the first project, "Slim Text-based installer".

Is the target for this a desktop system or a server. If the latter, as 
suggested by SPARC, we might want to include an option for static IP 
setup. But I agree that we should not ask a lot more questions.
