In that case, adding the disk serial number (if available) would be very useful. I rebuilt a machine last week, and knew which disk was which based on the serial number (Sun drives often have the serial number visible). I had to boot it up into the installer and get an interactive session so I could use iostat -En to work out which disk has been allocated which address.
