Hi, Jack,
Have this 7876 been fixed in AI build 111 ? Or it is NOT going to be
implemented in 09.06?
When I trying to use following criteria with STANDARD format:
<ai_criteria name="IPv4">
<range>
10.13.21.142
10.13.21.142
</range>
</ai_criteria>
I still got error:
# installadm add -m ai_criteria.mac.standard -n test1
Error: File ai_criteria.mac.standard failed validation:
Element ai_criteria_manifest failed to validate content

Summary: Implement database data typing for specially-formatted
A/I criteria types
Classification: Development
Product: installer
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Solaris
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P4
Component: installadm
AssignedTo: qa-installer at defect.opensolaris.org
ReportedBy: jack.a.schwartz at sun.com
CC: qa-installer at defect.opensolaris.org
This bug represents what bug
4325 Better syntactic treatment of IP and MAC address AI criteria
started off as:
To help hexadecimal and decimal values checking and to more
intelligently print
error messages the A/I server should implement data typing (I'm
envisioning a
second database table with the types specified or using the manifests table
schema and SQLite3 datatypes).
Examples of specially formatted A/I criteria types would be IP addresses
(aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd) and mac addresses (aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff)
(Keeping 4325 with its morphed description and opening this bug to handle
4325's original task, rather than the other way around, as 4325 is
currently on
the blocker list for its morphed purpose and this way will avoid confusion.)
