We've been working away at getting a prototype Slim Install CD built (fairly successfully ;-) and I've posted an updated package list off of the Slim announcements page [1]. I also posted diffs vs. Sanjay's original list, the summary of which is essentially adding the Dwarf Caiman installer, the man pages, fix a few typos and dependencies that were missing, and use Gnome packages built against the FOX packages.
The images I'm building based on this list are 563 MB, will boot to a GDM login prompt, and successful login as root. On my Tecra M5 that's about 4 minutes from GRUB prompt to fully running desktop. Dave [1] http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/caiman/Slim_Install/slim_annoucememts/
