I can't imagine we would worry about existing Solaris Instances for 
October. And, in looking at this list I don't see that this means 
upgrade, or existing Solaris instances. I think it means existing 
Solaris partitions will be supported.

The issue is of course that we cannot upgrade from a previous release to 
Slim. And, we cannot upgrade Slim to a newer build. So, we have to make 
sure that we mark the Slim installations appropriately so they won't be 
recognized as upgradeable instances. And, we can't offer upgrade with 
Slim since previous Solaris releases contain more and different contents.
