Can you check if the install actually finished prior to rebooting the machine? In other words, did you see a message on the console indicating that the install had finished and the system could be rebooted? The install log at /var/sadm/system/logs/install_log on the installed system should have this data but you might need to boot off of the net and import the zpool in order to access it.
