Jeffrey: The Sunblade 2000 support wanboot but it only works if you boot from a Solaris CD1/DVD. Since the sparc AI will just work with wanboot from net, it will not work.
The following internal website about wanboot is helpful and it gives you a list of systems that support wanboot and the minimum OBP level needed. http://onestop.sfbay.sun.com/wanboot/ Jack Schwartz wrote: > HI Jeffrey. > > Yes, a 2000 is too old. > > Thanks, > Jack > > On 01/22/09 02:02, jeffrey huang wrote: >> Hi, Jack, >> >> I tried a sun4u machine Blade 2000, the AI boot failed with TFTP error, >> >> I guess it is because the OBP is too old that not support wanboot, right? >> >> Thanks >> >> Jeffrey >> Jack Schwartz ??: >>> Hi Volker. >>> >>> While the current AI product version will officially support only sun4v >>> installs when completed, it also works on many sun4u machines.
